How to search the catalogue
Searching the catalogue is quite straightforward. There are a variety of ways of searching the catalogue, from a simple search to more complex searches. And if you have any problems, just hit the help button.
Once you have found what you are looking for you can use the contact us page to book an appointment and send us a list of the items you would like to see. For library items the list should include the author, title and shelfmark and for archive items the list should include the reference number, title and normal location.
Search for an author
The best way to search for an author is to use the Advanced Search and enter the author’s name in the format last name, first name/initial, e.g. Castle, Barbara or Hardie, K.
Uncatalogued items
Not all the items held in the library have been catalogued yet, but we do have details of uncatalogued items. Please contact us if you think we may hold material you are interested in looking at.
