The Library catalogue database contains details of our books, pamphlets and journals
The Archives database contains details of our archival material including trade union records, personal papers and records of organisations. It also contains details of the objects we hold such as banners, pictures, mugs and badges.

Searching the catalogue
Searching the catalogue is quite straightforward. There a variety of ways of searching the catalogue, from simple search to more complex searches.
Search for an author
The best way to search for an author is to use the Advanced Search and enter the author's name in the format last name, first name/initial, e.g. Castle, Barbara or Hardie, K. And if you have any problems, just hit the help button.
Uncatalogued items
Not all the items held in the library have been catalogued yet,
but we do have lists of uncatalogued items on some of the other pages of this
website.
